La Verdad, 1001 flavors and the Region of Murcia as the Spanish capital of gastronomy 2021 organize the Gastronomic Forums “EL TERRRITORIO EN EL PLATO”.
There are five Forums that aim to value gastronomy as a global and local cultural heritage.
This first forum: " Yecla between vineyards and gazpachos, wine and gastronomy " was inaugurated by the Minister of the Presidency, Tourism and Sports Marcos Ortuño , who highlighted the tourist offer of the Region of Murcia with its three Wine Routes and its tourism indoor. 
Antonio Candela participated as secretary of the DO of Yecla at the first table where the queen variety of the region was praised: Monastrell, its quality, its challenges in the face of climate change and how to continue conquering the market and adding value to the entire chain. 
Aura Picó as President of the Yecla Wine Route participated in the second table where two topics were discussed: pairing with local wines and the gastronomy of the Region. Consuming wines from the region will provide the traveler with unique flavors and experiences along with the great variety of Murcia and Yecla gastronomy, where Gazpachos are undoubtedly a benchmark.
They reflected on the importance of transmitting the wine culture to young people and how our elders taught us to respect tradition. 
The event was closed by the mayor of Yecla Remedios Lajara, who highlighted the interest of these gastronomic forums and the promotion that Yecla means of our gastronomy and our wines.
