Tomorrow the Councilor for Tourism, Jesús Verdú and the president of the Yecla Aurora Picó Wine Route present at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) the Holy Week of Yecla and the Yecla Wine Route. Two consolidated tourist offers that offer both national and foreign tourists a unique experience in the Region of Murcia.
Holy Week in Yecla has a great artistic heritage in embroidery, goldsmithing and wood carving highlighting the more 80 images that participate in the 11 Processions held in Yecla. The oldest image of our Holy Week is the Virgen de las Angustias (Salzillo 1763) declared of cultural interest. Much of this heritage can be contemplated during the year at the Museum of Holy Week located in the Old Church. The religious, together with the traditional and the cultural, give the Holy Week Yeclana its own personality, expressed in our streets by its color, recollection and prayer, before the fervor of a whole town that for more than two centuries has been faithful to Your customs and traditions.
The Yecla Wine Route will highlight its wines, wineries and the gastronomic richness of Yecla that you can find in its bars and restaurants. With a privileged location close to tourist areas of the Levante beach and Murcia gives both national and international tourists to live a unique experience around the world of wine.
They will be present at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held in Madrid, at the stand of the Region of Murcia.
And as a final appetizer, attendees will have a typical sweet and savory tasting during Holy Week: Yecla Libricos, tuna and potato patties accompanied by PDO Yecla wines.
