The " Escuadra Minerva Association", together with the "Asociación Ruta del Vino de Yecla", the "Consejo Regulador Denominación de Origen Yecla" and the "Hon. Ayuntamiento de Yecla ", will celebrate the III OLYMPIC CONFERENCE OF THE VIRGIN FIESTAS on November 17 of this year.

This third edition will be held in a single day, distinguishing an amateur taster contest , a talk- exhibition focused on the world of winemaking and a tasting of wines from our collaborating wineries.

The contest of tasters will be held at 11:00 hours at the facilities of the Regulatory Council. This contest will be open to the general public, considered amateur and therefore the participation of professionals dedicated to enology will not be allowed. The Escuadra Minerva Association will carry out the organization of this contest, designating for this a technician of the Tasting Committee of the Yecla Denomination of Origin Regulatory Council, to carry out its management. He will also designate in the persons of Mr. José Antonio Hernández Muñoz, current Councilor for Industry, Tourism and Commerce, and in the person of Mr. Juan Pedro Castaño Muñoz, President of the Wine Route Association of Yecla, the figures of President and Secretary of the contest, respectively. It will award three cash prizes to its first three classified. All participants will be presented with a diploma and a bottle of wine, a gift offered by the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin "Vinos Yecla".

In the afternoon in the facilities of the Yecla Furniture Fair at 6:30 p.m., the prize-giving ceremony, the talk-exhibition and the wine tasting will take place.

The prizes will consist of the delivery of cash and a trophy. The first one will be delivered by the Hon. City Council of Yecla, the second by the Wine Route Association of Yecla and the third by the Escuadra Minerva Association.

For the talk-exhibition, centered on the world of winemaking, we have Daniel Jiménez Alba, winemaker of the tasting committee of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin "Vinos de Yecla".

After the talk-exhibition, and for the end of the event, our collaborating wineries, Bodegas Castaño, Bodegas La Purisima and Bodegas Señorío de Barahonda, will carry out a tasting of local wines. The tasting will be centered in the main variety of the zone of the high plateau of Murcia "The Monastrell" . This tasting, of each of the wines, will be enlivened by your winemaker, who will show the different characteristics of the wines that will be tasted.
