The 60th edition, with a young soul, highlights the origin and versatility of FMY.

The FMY is presented with a lot of young soul, and the leitmotif of this 60th edition is inspired by the wisdom, the freshness of the talent, the innovation, the design, the creativity and the professionalism that characterizes the commitment of our exhibiting firms with their products. , news and, above all, the quality of attention and service to its customers.

The event highlights its experience and versatility, which throughout each edition has made it an unmissable event on the agenda of industry fairs, which brings together thousands of professionals who want to know the trends in the sector of the habitat shown by the exhibiting firms.

A contest with its own character

An event with its own character, alive and dynamic, in constant movement, which will turn the 17,000 m2 of the fairgrounds into the habitat and home of professionals in the sector. Each inhabited stand and the flow of our fair inhabitants will provoke the stimulation of the senses, through the textures of the upholstery, the color ranges, the design of furniture, the comfort of rest, the services and advanced technology at the service and people care.

Between business meetings and attention to visitors, you can take a short break and savor the roots of the sector in the leisure-business space. We are talking about the connection between the world of wine and furniture.

If we look to the past to walk through the present and the future of the sector, the FMY has its own life story. The birth of the furniture sector has its origin in the planting of vineyards in the Altiplano, as a consequence of the fall of the cultivation of the vine in France, in 1878. The artisanal origin of the sector dates back to the car builders or “aperadores” and the coopers. Added to this fact is the phenomenon of confiscation and massive felling of pine trees, which generates the incorporation of mechanical sawmills and the beginning of an incipient industry for the manufacture of tables and chairs.

In this way, trades related to wood became specialized: carpenters, waiters, blacksmiths, cabinetmakers, upholsterers and furniture stores and auxiliary industries, authentic seeds to nurture the business sector. A sector in constant evolution that, in 1962, 60 years ago, held the first official exhibition called "Provincial Furniture and Related Industries Fair". A history and origin that values and places the FMY and the furniture cluster on the national and international map.

An exquisite corner offered by FMY and Ruta del Vino to promote networking

As a novelty in this 60th edition, the FMY and Ruta del Vino have designed a stand to promote a warmer and more relaxed atmosphere , so that this habitat show has a space where the exhibiting firms can relax and talk with their clients while tasting wines from the DO Yecla, and share a pleasant respite to gather strength. The tasting space will take place every day of the contest from 12:00 to 13:00 in the afternoon.

In addition, to learn more about and learn about the benefits of the land, tastings will be held every afternoon by various wineries on the Wine Route, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., which will promote a meeting place in which exhibiting firms and professional visitors can build loyalty and establish professional relationships while savoring the roots and origin of the sector.

Something that characterizes our exhibiting firms and the event is the ease of establishing personal relationships with clients who visit us, and that translates into good business relationships. In addition, the proximity of the production centers of many of our exhibiting firms allows us to see first-hand the manufacture of the sector's products.

For four days, from May 24 to 27, the FMY will become a great showcase visited by thousands of professionals, which will show, once again, that we are facing a sector on the rise, entrepreneurial, with a young spirit and with a great power.
