The Regional Government of Murcia holds an act where it delivers various thanks to entities, companies and professionals, and presents the new Gastronomic Tourism Plan #1001SaboresRM.

Last Tuesday, February 15, an act of gratitude took place at the restaurant La Cabaña (El Palmar) for different collaborating entities in the development of "Region of Murcia, Spanish Capital of Gastronomy". An event that highlighted the large number of events that were scheduled last year on the occasion of the capital status.

This event was attended by Juan Pedro Castaño, Vice President of the Yecla Wine Route, who received the award from Marcos Ortuño, Minister of the Presidency, Tourism and Sports.

During the same act, the presentation of the new Gastronomic Tourism Plan #1001SaboresRM was carried out, a program that will act as a roadmap to consolidate the Region of Murcia as a recognized gastronomic destination.

The objective is to strengthen support for the regional hospitality sector, promote local products, sustainability, gastronomic culture and pride in belonging to the Region of Murcia, in addition to consolidating the resource of gastronomy as a tourist product, boosting competitiveness of the business fabric.
