Bodegas Castaño is one of the most important wine producers in the southeast of Spain due to its tradition and achievements with autochthonous varieties and the adaptation of foreign grapes to our climate and soil.

With a clear entrepreneurial spirit, the Castaño family has incorporated the latest technologies and winemaking systems to keep alive the legacy of their ancestors: the passion inherited by the variety with the most roots in the area, the Monastrell.

WHEN MONASTRELL IS WINE

There are no mysteries. Our wines are born from more than 500 hectares of vineyards planted in 4 large estates located in different areas of the DO Yecla, where each variety finds its perfect habitat to develop in the most appropriate way.

Precision work with the autochthonous Monastrell variety, our constant experimentation with other varieties and the different types of soils in which our vines are planted are relevant factors that contribute to the complexity of aromas and flavours so characteristic of our wines, but also the fruitiness and freshness necessary to offer a wide range: young red wines or those aged in barrels, sweet white and rosé wines, a game with monovarietals or in harmonious mixtures... a real pleasure to discover: the art of Monastrell.
