Bodegas Evine's roots go back to the second half of the 19th century, when the Martínez-Quintanilla family was already dedicated to growing vines and making their wines.
Since 2003, Bodegas Evine has been located on the same estate where the vineyards are located, in Las Cabezuelas, within the Yecla Denomination of Origin.
The harvest is totally manual, taking care of the integrity of the bunch and its elaboration is carried out in small tanks with temperature control.
We have 60 hectares of vineyards in the areas of Las Cabezuelas, Magán and Llano Quintanilla, located less than 1 km from the winery.
The cultivated varieties are Monastrell, which occupies 90% of our plantations, Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon. The age of the vineyards varies from 35/20 years the Monastrell, 7 years the Cabernet-Sauvignon and 7/4 years the Syrah.
In the type of soil we can distinguish two zones, one limestone-stony and another of clay type.
As for irrigation systems, we have 20 hectares of dry land, the rest drip irrigation.
The climatic characteristics of the area, are scarce rains (less than 300 mm./year), cold winters and hot summers, which makes it feasible that the cultivation in the whole farm is ecological, is carried out following the protocols of the Regulatory Council of Agriculture Ecological Murcia.
