Bodegas La Purísima was founded in 1946 by several farmers who came together to improve the quality of Yecla wines. Their determination and will to produce great wines led them in 1975 to obtain the title of Yecla Denomination of Origin, a real achievement for these farmers who were awarded the D.O. Yecla with the number 27, making it the only D.O. whose limit is within the municipal boundaries in the style of the most prestigious French AOCs.
