Producers from 33 countries have participated in this contest, where Cornicabra Deortegas has achieved the second position (first Spanish oil) for its healthy composition in fatty acids.

This Prize is intended to reward those producers who, in addition to being concerned about the organoleptic characteristics, are concerned about the chemical composition of their EVOOs, from the point of view of the benefits that it brings to the health of consumers.

We consider it essential to promote, disseminate and mainly reach our consumers that by cooking with our organic extra virgin olive oils as well as satisfying our senses we are ingesting certain components that benefit our health.

There are many, and increasingly, research that endorses the healthy benefits that the consumption of EVOOs bring us, and what is now sought is to inform in an objective and clear way the value of some of those relevant healthy constituents, and that the consumer know how to distinguish our EVOOs not only for their organoleptic characteristics, but also for the healthy benefits of their daily consumption.


This recognition is added to those already obtained this campaign by our monovarietals in national and international competitions.
