The director of the program Discópolis de Radio 3 (RNE), José Miguel López (Haro, 1953) has been chosen as Winemaker of the Year 2019 for the Yecla Wine Route (Murcia), a distinction he has celebrated with joy on social networks and on antenna.

The Riojan journalist, excited and grateful for this recognition, promises "to bring Yecla wine all over the world." Undoubtedly, the name of our town has already sounded throughout the country for more than a decade thanks to the festival 'Yecla Jazz', a classic every season on the grid of Discópolis that reveals the affection of the Winemaker of the Year 2019 by Yecla. Not surprisingly, José Miguel López has commented on occasion the curious parallel between his hometown, Haro, and Yecla, in the sense that both places share good wine and good music.

The date of the official appointment of José Miguel López as Winemaker of the Year 2019 is September 29 at 12 noon at the Teatro Concha Segura de Yecla. In this special scenario, his figure joins an illustrious list that, in recent years, has two RTVE colleagues as predecessors: the presenter Sergio Sauca and the Yeclana communicator Noemí Martínez.
