The Hon. The City Council and the Yecla Wine Route call the Salmanazar Wine Bottle Intervention Contest (9 liters), in accordance with the following:

1. OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THE CALL
The purpose of these rules is to regulate the SALMANAZAR WINE BOTTLE INTERVENTION CONTEST , organized by the Yecla Wine Route in collaboration with the Yecla City Council and directed by the Yeclano artist Emilio Pascual, in order to promote emerging art and wine culture within the framework of the celebration of the “Envero de la Monastrell” activity.
2. SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CALL
Each of the selected entries will have a single bottle with which the participants will have to make their work. The Salmanazar bottles, approximately 64.5 centimeters high and with a capacity of 9 liters, will be provided by the organization of the contest.
Thus, the materials with which the works will be carried out will consist mainly of the bottles themselves, and these can be subjected to any kind of manipulation. The technique will therefore be free, so that, by way of example, the bottles can be painted, drilled or melted. Other materials or objects foreign to the bottles may also be incorporated.
3. VALUATION CRITERIA FOR AWARDING THE PRIZE
The prizes will be awarded according to the artistic value of the works and their originality. The theme will be free, however, in order to provide greater coherence to the call, those interventions that are related to wine and its world will be highly valued.
All people of legal age, both foreign and national, as well as all students who are studying in Baccalaureate or Faculties of Fine Arts, may choose to participate in the contest.
Participation in the contest will be individually, the number of participants being limited to 15.
A single registration form will be completed for each participant. The signature or acceptance of the same implies a declaration of knowledge of the Bases, as well as the commitment of its fulfillment. The inscriptions must be accompanied by the respective photocopies of the applicants' DNI or passport (other documents that are reliably accredited are accepted) and a small Letter of Presentation or Curriculum Vitae with an extension of no more than one page, where preferably a single typeface (Times New Roman recommended) and a font size 14.
The fact of participating in the contest implies the full acceptance of the totality of what is established in this call.

6. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF THE REGISTRATION FORM
The deadline for submitting entries will end on July 8 at 2:00 p.m., end of the deadline for the registration of contestants, at the Yecla Tourist Office (Plaza Mayor, s / n. Yecla) or online , through the registration form available at rutadelvinoyecla.com
We inform you of your data will be processed in our files, for the purpose, maintenance and compliance, including the sending of communications as indicated in this document and the general European Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) 2016/679.
7. SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS
The participants will be selected by the executive committee of the Yecla Wine Route in coordination with the director of the contest Emilio Pascual, the number of participants being limited to 15.
On July 10, the list of participants will be published on the website.

9. THE FOLLOWING AWARDS ARE ESTABLISHED
- FIRST PRIZE € 500
- SECOND PRIZE € 300
- THIRD PRIZE € 200
All works, both those awarded and those not awarded, will become the property of the Yecla Wine Route Association, the authors renouncing all the rights that correspond to them.
The works will be exhibited until August 9, 2021 at the Municipal House of Culture, and if the Organization so decides, the works may be auctioned for charitable purposes.
It will be composed of the director of the contest, Emilio Pascual, and representatives of the Yecla Wine Route, the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin and the Hon. Yecla City Council, making itself known through the Yecla Wine Route website.
11. CELEBRATION OF THE CONTEST
The Organization will contact the artists to send them and collect the Salmanazar bottle. Any additional material or tool that you want to incorporate into the work must be provided by the artist.
All works must be accompanied by the artist's statement, a creative plea in which the artist himself will define the basis of his work. With the idea of making known to the jury their perspective and their way of dealing with art, this argument should have an extension of 80 to 160 words, and preferably a single font (Times New Roman is recommended) and a size 14 source.
12. FAILURE OF THE JURY AND AWARDING OF PRIZES
The jury, meeting for this purpose on July 24, 2021, will decide who among the participants will be the winners. The jury's decision will be secret and will be made public on July 25 .
The prizes will be delivered raw, that is, subject to the applicable tax regulations. The decision of the contest is final.
Participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation in the contest. After the exhibition at the Municipal House of Culture, the works will be exhibited in the different establishments associated with the Yecla Wine Route.
Wine Route and the Hon. Yecla City Council, collaborator of the contest, reserves the right to make modifications or take initiatives not regulated in this call, provided that they contribute to the greater success of the call for reasons of general interest.
The organization will take the utmost care in the conservation of the works, but will not be liable for any damage they may suffer during the time they are in its custody.
15. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES AND LIABILITY
Participation in this contest implies the express acceptance, and compliance, of each of the Bases of this call, as well as the decisions of the organizing entity and the Jury, which will have an additional character to what is established in these bases and that will be final.
Any doubt that may arise and that has not been foreseen by the bases will be resolved by the Board of Directors of Ruta del Vino de Yecla.
