The Hon. Yecla Town Hall and Wine Route call for the II Outdoor Barrel Intervention Contest in the Constitution Park of Yecla, according to the following bases:
BASES
1. PURPOSE AND PURPOSE OF THE CALL
The object of these rules is the regulation of the II OUTDOOR BARREL INTERVENTION COMPETITION , organized by Yecla Wine Route in collaboration with the City Council of Yecla and directed by the Yeclan artist Emilio Pascual , with the aim of promoting art Emerging culture and wine culture within the framework of the celebration of the activity " Envero de la Monastrell ".
2. PARTICULARITIES OF THE CALL
Each of the selected entries, whether they have been made individually or in groups, will have a single barrel with which the participants will have to make their work. The oak barrels, about one meter high and 70 centimeters in diameter, composed of about 8 metal rings and about 35 staves, will be provided by the organization of the event.
Thus, the materials with which the works will be carried out will consist mainly of the barrels themselves or their constituent elements, which may be subject to any kind of manipulation.
The technique will therefore be free, so that, as an example, the barrels can be painted or pyrographed, but also dismantled, their staves, metal rings and lids saw, bend and reassemble. You can also incorporate other materials or objects foreign to the barrels.
3. VALUATION CRITERIA FOR THE GRANTING OF THE PRIZE
Prizes will be awarded based on the artistic value of the works and their originality. The theme will be free, however, in order to provide greater coherence to the call, those interventions that are related to wine and its world will be highly valued.
4. PARTICIPANTS
All persons of legal age, both foreign and national, as well as all students who are studying in Baccalaureate or Faculty of Fine Arts will be eligible to participate in the contest.
Participation in the contest can be done individually or in groups, being limited to 10 the number of individual participants or groups of participants.
5. REGISTRATION
A single registration form will be completed per individual participant or group of participants.
The signature of the same supposes a declaration of knowledge of the Bases, as well as the commitment of its fulfillment. The inscriptions must be accompanied by the respective photocopies of the
DNI or the passport of the applicants (other documents that are reliably accredited) and a small Cover Letter or Curriculum Vitae are accepted.
The fact of participating in the contest supposes the full acceptance of the totality of what is established in this call.
Applications for registration and other documents required for participation in the contest can be downloaded from the website or picked up at the Tourism Office of Yecla until July 8 , 2019.
6. DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION OF THE REGISTRATION FORM
The registration deadline will end on July 8 at 2:00 p.m. , end of the deadline for stamping and registration of the contestants, at the Yecla Tourism Office (Plaza Mayor, s / n. Yecla) or, via online, through the registration form available at rutadelvinoyecla.com .
The data and information included in the applications will be treated in accordance with the provisions of current legislation on protection and treatment of personal data (Organic Law Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, Protection of Data of Character Personnel, and development subject.
7. SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS
The individual participants or groups of participants will be selected by the executive committee of the Wine Route of Yecla in coordination with the director of the Emilio Pascual contest, being limited to 10 the number of individual participants or groups of participants.
On July 9, the list of participants or groups of participants will be published on the website.
8. THE FOLLOWING PRIZES ARE ESTABLISHED
FIRST PRIZE 500
SECOND PRIZE € 300
THIRD PRIZE € 200
All the works, both the awarded and the non-awarded, will become the property of the Wine Route Association of Yecla , the authors waiving all rights that correspond to them.
The works will be exhibited until July 12, 2019 in the different establishments associated with the Wine Route of Yecla, on this date, and if the Organization so decides, the works may be auctioned.
9. JURY
It will be composed by the director of the contest, Emilio Pascual , and representatives of the Wine Route of Yecla, the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin and the Hon. Municipality of Yecla , making itself known through the Wine Route webpage of Yecla prior to the celebration of the contest.
10. CELEBRATION OF THE CONTEST
The contest will be held on July 13, 2019 in the PARK OF THE CONSTITUTION of YECLA, between 09:00 and 18:00 hours.
The Organization will contact the artists in the days leading up to the contest to provide the basic material that the participants may need (acrylic paint, spray and brushes). Any additional material or tool more
specific must be provided by the artist.
On the same day of the contest and about 2:00 p.m. approximately, the organization will deliver a lunch to all the participants.
11. AUTHORIZATION TO WINE ROUTE OF YECLA FOR THE COLLECTION AND USE OF IMAGES AND TESTIMONY
The participants grant their consent and acceptance so that during the day of the contest, the capture and recording of the sequences and / or interviews that Ruta del Vino de Yecla considers necessary for the realization of a report that will be broadcast in different media and the Ruta del Vino platforms themselves (web, RR.SS ...)
12. FAULT OF JURY AND DELIVERY OF PRIZES
The jury, meeting for that purpose on July 13, 2019, will decide who among the participants or groups of participants will be winners.
The decision will be communicated, after the conclusion of the contest, in the same space of execution of the works, from 20:00 hours and the delivery of prizes will occur during the activity scheduled this afternoon.
The failure of the contest is unappealable.
13.- EXHIBITION
All participants will receive a gift and a certificate recognizing their participation in the contest. Subsequently, the works will be exhibited in the different establishments associated with the Wine Route of Yecla.
14.- ORGANIZATION
Route of the Wine and the Exmo. Yecla City Council, collaborator of the contest, reserve the right to make modifications or take unregulated initiatives
in this call, provided that they contribute to the success of the call for reasons of general interest.
The organization will take the utmost care in the conservation of the works, but will not be held liable for any damage they may suffer during the time they are in their custody.
15. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Participation in this contest implies the express acceptance, and compliance, of each of the Terms of this call, as well as the decisions of the organizing entity and the Jury, which will be additional to
established in the present bases and that will be unappealable.
Any doubt that may arise and that has not been foreseen by the bases will be resolved by the Board of Directors of Ruta del Vino de Yecla
