Something happens in Bodegas La Purísima that their wines are sneaking into the best. On this occasion the award obtained is the silver medal of the International Wine Challenge, for the wine Consentido Monastrell 2015.

This contest judges wines according to their fidelity to style, region and vintage. Through its 34 editions, this contest of British origin has produced a meticulous process. In which each award-winning wine has been tasted blind blind three times by at least 10 members of the jury. Possibly it is the contest, together with Decanter, where a greater proportion of "Master of Wine" is seen among the jury.

Consentido range awakens interest in its high value for money, which is added to its renewed labels that attract attention and a smile to many of those who discover them for the first time.

Previously Consentido Monastrell was included in the online guide "Low Cost Wines", for its excellent quality and low price.

Asking the winemaker Pedro José Azorín, he tells us about its elaboration: - Consentido Monastrell has been made with 100% Monastrell grapes from our vineyards. Specifically, we select the grapes from some plots with vines over 25 years old. The harvest was made at the beginning of October, the grapes were covered at low temperature before fermentation. Once fermented, the wine was transferred to the barrel. With that light step through the wood, the wild aromas are highlighted and elegant and soft notes of oak are provided. It is a quality wine and very easy to drink.-

On the other hand, the wine Trapío 2012 did not go empty and has been awarded a Commended, the bluish distinction granted by the IWC.

These medals make us all add up and that the name of Yecla be placed next to quality and distinction in its wines.
