Yecla desde dentro: Azul y Blanco, la Basílica de la Purísima

The Basílica de la Purísima de Yecla is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city, due to its monumentality and the artistic singularities that characterise it, such as the blue and white tiled dome, the paintings on the vaults by Manuel Muñoz Barberán from Lorca and the sculptural group of the Virgen de las Angustias, the work of Francisco Salzillo.
Popularly known as Iglesia Nueva, the history of its construction is a symbol of the will of the people of Yecla. The guided visit to the basilica is a unique opportunity to get to know one of the architectural jewels of the city of Yecla.

Observations: The guided tour starts at 18.00 hours in the atrium of the basilica (Plaza de la Purísima de Yecla), on Sunday 24 October 2021.
These visits are intended for individuals or very small groups of a maximum of 6 people -for each booking made-, so the organisers have the right to cancel any visits that exceed this maximum.

During the guided tour, the minimum interpersonal safety distance of 1.5 metres must be kept, which will not be required in the case of people living together, with a friendly or similar relationship. The use of face masks shall be compulsory for the entire duration of the guided tour.
At the beginning of the guided tour, the guide will inform visitors about how the tour will be conducted, the route and the rules and/or possible restrictions that may apply, informing them of the relevant preventive and safety measures.

By making the reservation, the user is informed and accepts the security measures requested to minimise risks to COVID-19.
