BALANCE OF THE VINTAGE PARTY 2013.-

Yecla Wine Route Association thanks the citizens in general, for the great reception that has had the " Harvest Festival and the First Mosto step ",

in the reissue of this old party that this year has been rescued for the town. The Parque de la Constitución has welcomed a large audience, both on the opening day, on the afternoon of Saturday, September 7, with performances by Ramón Palao, Vicente Palao and the Nightingales; as well, in the morning and afternoon of Sunday the 8th, with the performance of the first must, staged by the Francisco Salzillo Choir and Dance Group, from Yecla, and the Folkloric Festival, with the performance of the groups of Bullas, Santomera and Yecla, with the closing of the gala by the unique voice of the Dutch Matilda.

The agrarian tradition of Yecla, his ancestral dedication to the vine and the wine, made it necessary to praise the moment of the harvest of the fruit, reliving the scenes of the "pisa" of the grape, the obtaining of the first must, with the rejoicing of the party, songs and folklore. The "Family Tasting" has been introduced as a novelty, allowing children to taste the grape juice (grape juice without alcohol), with the pedagogical value that this entails, in the way of raising awareness about how to enjoy the fruit of the grape in the field family. The success of participation, the animation that this has given Yecla and its Municipal Garden, requires that it be repeated, correcting and increasing in successive annual editions, in which, in addition to our products, we intend to bring wine to Yecla, the gastronomy and folklore of other Wine Routes of Spain and other Denominations of Origin, by the hand of ACEVÍN.

We want to thank the support that the City Council of Yecla has given us, with its help in personnel, means and in financing. To the Denomination of Origin Yecla. To the Rutas del Vino de Bullas and Jumilla, as well as to the named folklore groups. To the singers. To the innkeepers of the Ruta del Vino, which have allowed us to taste excellent tapas: El Olivo de Jaén, Sierra de Cazorla and T & J coffee shop; to Bodegas Evine, La Purísima, Barahonda and Castaño for their excellent wines and musts.

But above all to the public that has given life to the center of the town, with the unanimous comment that, in these times of crisis, it is good to make calls of this nature that animate the city and is a good exponent in the face of the attraction of visitors to our town.

From Yecla Wine Route we continue working, and we announce that the next event will take place in the first week of November, with the commemoration of the European Day of Wine Tourism, which will be celebrated, both the day before, with the NIGHT INK (with the performance from the tribute group to the Beatles, The Liverpool Band), as the Wine Tourism Marathon on November 8, which will tour all the wineries of the RVY, tasting tapas and tasting the first Monastrell wines, fermented with this type of must that we have honored this weekend.
