The ecological wine Old Hands Oak 2015 from Bodegas La Purísima has won the gold medal in the "Challenge International du Vin" contest. The tastings of this contest were held on April 21 and 22 in Bordeaux (France). More than 5,000 wines from 37 countries were tasted by nearly 700 tasters.

This contest is quite hard, since the number of medals can never exceed one third of the samples submitted to the contest. Therefore, only a maximum of 33% of the aspiring wines would obtain a medal.

Spain has received 110 golds. Within the golds of Spain, only 9 gold medals are from organic wines. Where Old Hands oak 2015 is one of them, and it is also the only wine that has obtained the DO Yecla medal .

Challenge International du Vin is the oldest of the great international wine competitions, this year being its 41st edition. It is also the largest international wine competition organized in France and certified ISO 9001 version 2008. This certification is part of a qualitative management and certifies the seriousness and technicality of the organization.
