Next Friday, May 30, 2014, the Yecla Wine Route Association returns to dress up to present the 2014 Enotourist Award, this year, on its 40th anniversary, we want to honor and distinguish the

ASSOCIATION OF FRIENDS OF MUSIC
FROM YECLA

for his training and research work at the School of Music since its foundation. For its national and international projection through its Music Band, which has managed to carry the name of Yecla and leave our musical pavilion high for the pride of all Yecla. For all the prizes, mentions and acknowledgments inside and outside our locality. Therefore, the nomination falls to the Friends of Music Association of Yecla , which also celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

The work with which we symbolically thank this great trajectory is

Sarmiento 4

It is a unique piece that has been made especially for this celebration. The materials that compose it are brass and Capri limestone. The metals have been subjected to oxidation processes presenting a final plastic richness with "red, yellow, blue and green notes". The procedures used for its creation follow the foundations of the sculptural tradition.

Its author, Rosa Poveda, has been inspired by the growth and sprouting of the leaves of the vine. These buds symbolize the birth of a culture, in this case, the culture of wine. History, which starts from a fragile principle, is nowadays the basis of identity and meaning.
As of Friday, May 30, the Friends of Music Association of Yecla will be a new honorary messenger of the Wine Tourism and Wine Route of YECLA, in its broadest sense.

THANK YOU.

Juan Pedro Castaño Muñoz,
PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION WINE ROUTE OF YECLA
