Yecla Wine Route, in collaboration with the Yecla City Council Tourism Department and the DO Yecla Regulatory Council , has carried out the “Home edition” Wine and Tapa Route, an innovative competition this March. where the public from home has been in charge of proposing their tapas paired with one of the wines from the four associated wineries: Barahonda, Bodegas Castaño, Evine and La Purísisma.

In addition, in this very special edition, the awards have been awarded by a unique jury made up of the bars and restaurants associated with Ruta del Vino de Yecla:
La Bodega - Tejota - Los Chispos - Candilejas - La Zaranda - Olivo de Jaén - Pachamama - Sierra Cazorla - Taberna del Garrudo - Tapeo Bar - Aurora Restaurant - Gaggia Bar - Barrabás and Peña Taurina .

As in the traditional contest, every Monday in March there have been raffles for lots of Ruta del Vino de Yecla products among all the photographs that have been coming to us from the ruteros preparing or enjoying their tapas and wines at home.

The 19 proposals submitted to the “Send your cover” contest were evaluated, high-quality proposals that made the jury's decision extremely difficult. It should be noted that not only have they sent us the ingredients, the production process and the photographs, but some of them have indicated to us the reason for their pairing and the nuances that the chosen wine contributes to its cover, a fact that reaffirms the professionalism of the proposals received.

In addition to the proposals submitted to the contest, we have also received another 20 photographs submitted by the riders to participate in the raffles that have been carried out every Monday. So we have to thank the great reception of the contest, with some 40 proposals received.
